Two concepts that drive designers are intention and purpose. When designers identify a genuine opportunity to create something that will generate a memorable experience. Part of our ethos in the design learning experience in Middle Schools is to support our young creators to design with intention and to test the impact of their outcome with the audience they had in in mind.
Our young designers in the 3rd year of Middle School created an educational game tailor-made for their primary peers. Beyond just creating the game, this collaborative effort demonstrated and nurtured teamwork, problem-solving, adaptability, and empathy amongst our Middle School students while engaging primary students in this experience.
This unique collaboration not only underscores the importance of addressing diverse learning needs and diversity in general but also showcases the power of empathy-driven teamwork.
