A learner-centred, contextual approach

Students are required to study one subject from each of the five subject groups (Language & Literature, Language Acquisition, Individuals and Societies, Experimental Sciences and Mathematics), along with an arts subject from group 6, or a second subjects from groups 1 to 5.

All DP students must choose three courses at Higher Level (HL) and three courses at Standard Level (SL).

Adventure Camp

At Bogaerts, learning extends beyond the classroom, and our annual Adventure Camp is the perfect example of this philosophy. Held at the exclusive Vakantiecentrum De Bosberg, the week-long experience immerses students in nature through hiking, survival workshops, woodland art, and multi-sport competitions.

With access to top-tier facilities, including a swimming pool, gym, and multi-sports fields, students develop resilience, teamwork, and confidence in an engaging outdoor setting.

More than just an exciting trip, Adventure Camp fosters independence and a lifelong appreciation for the outdoors, making it a highlight of the school year.

Embracing innovation in the sporting landscape, Bogaerts is also proud to partner withGarrincha Padel Club, a premier padel facility conveniently located just 10 minutes from campus.

Recognizing the rapid global growth and dynamic nature of padel, we offer our students a comprehensive six-week padel unit within this professional environment.

Service Learning Through Sports

At Bogaerts, we believe that sports can be a powerful tool for social responsibility and community engagement. Through service learning projects like hiking mentorship and plogging, students develop empathy, leadership, and environmental awareness while staying active. These projects ensure that sports at Bogaerts go beyond competition, empowering students to become conscientious and responsible global citizens.

In our hiking mentorship program, high school students guide younger peers in planning and experiencing outdoor adventures, fostering teamwork and responsibility.

Meanwhile, plogging—a Swedish-born initiative that combines jogging with environmental cleanup—allows students to give back to their community while promoting sustainability.
