B.I.S. is closing its campus starting on Monday, 16/03/2020.
Dear BIS Learning Community:
In the wake of increased risk to the health and safety of all of our valued families, Bogaerts International School has decided to close starting on Monday, 16/03/2020. This will include our boarding facilities.
To be clear: we currently have no cases of Covid-19 within our community. We are closing purely as a preventative measure to safeguard ourselves and the wider school community from further exposure.
We will begin a full distance learning programme directly on Monday. please see the link below for Emergency Distance Learning Protocol. Tomorrow, during our classes, we will fully prepare all students for this programme. Thus, please ensure that all MYP and DP students bring their computers to school. We also may need to install a piece of software on your student’s computer. If your student has parental controls on their computer, this may affect our ability to install this software.
We request that students heavily restrict their travel and access to all persons outside of their immediate family. The purpose of closing is to be proactive in stopping the spread of Covid-19. Exposure outside of the home could cause further risk to our community.
The leadership team will continue to regularly communicate updates during this time. Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your coordinator, Gloria Harrison, or David-Ian Bogaerts directly.
